So here's my current experience with this tablet:

In early February I ordered one, it was delivered in about 2 weeks. Had the issue where the touch screen was unresponsive due to some kind of grounding issue (would work if I was holding it or if it was plugged in but not sitting on a table). I tried to get a replacement but for some reason they couldn't replace it so they offered me 3 separate inferior options that cost $200 less than the tablet I bought and all of them were not 8 inch tablets like I wanted. Finally I just returned the original Venue 8 and I ordered another one that took another 2 weeks to be delivered. That one had wifi issues. This time they were going to replace it.

I hadn't heard anything for 2 weeks after they told me I would have a replacement in 7 days so I emailed them. They told me I would have to wait another 2 weeks. 3 days ago I finally emailed support (because their phone support can't do sh*t) and told them I was calling my credit card company and telling them the charge on my card from Dell was fraudulent and they can deal with my bank. Magically another Venue 8 was sent to me the next day.

The replacement they sent me was the wifi version and not the cellular version I ordered. I spent over an hour on the phone yesterday with tech support going over the specs and service tags and they couldn't see the difference between the 2 units and that I should try inserting my sim card into the sd card slot. The guy on the phone told me maybe the memory wasn't expandable and that I didn't understand what the slot was for.

I emailed them the two spec sheets, one with the cellular radio, one without. Finally they're escalating my issue to "Level 3" tech support, whatever that means. Every person I've dealt with at this company should be working at a gas station. They're all inept, they're all uneducated and they all barely grasp the English language. Normally I would call it quits but I'm not letting them off that easily after putting in all of this time.

Sorry for the long post but I fell everyone here should know: STAY AWAY FROM DELL. Seriously, they could f_ck up toast. I have better luck using my old Toshiba Encore 2 Write than this blackberry of a computer company. I am going to wait until they finally get this right just because and then return it to get a new ipad pro. I hear those work pretty well the first time around.
