17 R4, LED strip number 10 doesn't work
Hi Alienware gurus, LED strip number 10 on my 2 year old 17 R4 is not working this is the one on the bottom right of the laptop. If I tap it gently it it turns on for a few seconds but only in green colour and then it turns off automatically after a second and sometimes even less time then that. could this just be a loose connection somewhere that can be easily fixed? Hoping to hear from the experts soon.

It looks like that is what is called the Tron light -- if so, you can fairly easily check the connectors to the system board (manual below). However, if the strip itself is damaged, it looks like the only way to replace it is by replacing the entire bottom chassis of the system (not so easily done).
