Delayed Order
Well, I 've brought an Alienware X17 3070 ver with i7 10 gen CPU on 2 Oct and a real "Marathon" began.
At the beginning my order status showed that it would be completed on 17 Oct then shipped. And the delivery date was 2 Nov. Then when it was on 17 there was first delay. The shipping date revised to 2 Nov! And then there were the second, third delay... Now I think there are about 6 or 7 delays. The latest shipping date is 19 Nov and I' m sure there is another delay.
I tried to contect costomer care by email and phone but every time they tell me the same things that "because of the global parts shortage" and give me a new date. At first Dell lacks CPUs and then they lack screens. I understand those staffs only do their job as they don't know when parts would be shipped to Dell factories neither.
So, the things I really need are first I want an exact shipping date and second delivering it ASAP. And in fact, the screen of my laptop has been broken for about 2 months. I have to stare the screen that has a huge colorful belt on the left form top to bottle when I work or play games.
I always dream to have an Alienware laptop and now I almost achieve my goal. Who wants to wait two months with a broken computer screen instead of buying another brand if they don't really like Alienware's? I really want to get a exact answer.
And this is the screen of my laptop.

The first thing to clear up: Dell has nothing to do with the manufacture of the system -- with very few exceptions, notebooks are built by contract manufacturers, largely in China. And the bottom line is that the manufacturer cannot ship what it does not have the parts to build.
If you're in the US, there are a couple of configurations of this model with the 3070 GPU that are available for immediate pickup at Best Buy; if you cannot wait for the order, take that option.
Otherwise, you will need to wait until your custom order has the parts available to build and ship it (and note that even once it is built, it needs to make the trip from China to your home location, which can take up to a few weeks, given current shipping space shortages).
