m15 R3, keyboard error
Hello all,
I am having the same problem as https://www.dell.com/community/Alienware/m15-R3-keyboard-error/td-p/7672994
The problem happens when I type fast, sometimes extra characters may appear. For example, when I type "ASDF" and followed by the backspace key, the output will be something like ASD[ or ASD[F . The problem also happens in the safe mode of windows.
The system informations are:
Edition Windows 10 Education
Version 20H2
Installed on 11/19/2020
OS build 19042.867
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0
I also have tried to reinstall the Intel HID Event Filter Driver, it did not help.
Does anyone else have the same problem? Or maybe have a solution to it?

Completely uninstall alienware command center. Use an app called revo Uninstaller and delete all the leftover files with it.
Then install it again support.dell.com, believe or not the issue is caused by the app

Have you tried @AdrianG001 solution, "Use an app called revo Uninstaller and delete all the leftover files with it". Please let us know if it fixed it.

Thanks for the info! But it doesn't work for me. I uninstalled the alienware command center, reboot, and reinstalled it. The issus is still there.

I believe this issue for me was caused by Alienware Command Center but after uninstalling it using Revo it's still doing it and reinstalling it afterwards too.

Update = For user ahoodedguy, after completing troubleshooting, a DELL-Cares agent setup service to replace the keyboard. We have not heard if this corrected the issue.
