m15 R6, black screen

The screen was stuck on what I was working on(screen looked normal just frozen). So I hard reset the device.

After hard reset the computer turned on but the screen remained black with no POST logo or anything. Also the power button colors do the normal color change cycle while plugged in.

First thought was screen died so I plugged in an HDMI to a tv and still no display. Removed battery and cleared everything. Also checked every connection inside. Still when I start the laptop nothing at all no flicker or display at all. Tried the d and power, fn and power and can't get to bios at all due to no screen.

The fans run and everything appears to be working normal but no sounds or display. It did change my tv game mode so it is sending some sort of signal.

Will a screen diagnostic run and show an image (hold the D key through powerup)?

If there's no sign of any video output at all, internal or external -- the mainboard needs to be replaced.

It could be a failed backlight in the screen, or a failed power supply to the backlight.  The former would mean a new screen is needed; the latter, a new mainboard.

See if there's even a faint image on the screen using a bright flashlight.  If there's absolutely nothing, it's more likely a bad mainboard.  Unfortunately, the only definitive test is parts replacement.
