m18 R1, has wrong BIOS cannot see 2 M.2 and 4080

Hi, I have an m18 R1 with 4 ssd slots and a 4080.

I realized today that I can only see 2 slots in BIOS and the 4080 is seen in BIOS but not in Windows.

Reading several posts apparently the new motherboard was installed as the m18 R1 4060/4070 version with only 2 ssd slots. 

Can the bios be changed to the proper version (doing a BIOS update does not help as it keeps the wrong laptop version)?
