New Alienware M17R4 freeze

Question

Hi there,   My brand new Alienware M17R4 laptop has several freezes recently. As you can see in picture I have taken from one of the occasion, I was just using laptop's normal function and screen freezes. At first I could not click on anything, then I lost control of my mouse and had to press power key to hard restart. I had also had issue with unboxing the laptop when I first got it. It stuck at the Cortana welcoming screen. I also had to do a hard restart before being able to start the laptop properly for the first time. Is there a way to troubleshoot the issue? I suspect the laptop itself has got some hardware problem, given I have left all setting in default from the very beginning.    Thank you

Hi @ELDward please run Check Disk to find and fix any file errors on the OS(C:) drive.

I followed the the method to do a scan, there was no error though.

Hi @ELDward thank you for sharing update.

Check that SupportAssist is installed and has automatically downloaded its most recent update. Please run F12 (ePSA) Diagnostics to see if there is a hardware problem.
