Need for backups?
Say we have a PFS replicated from Prod to DR and we are taking snapshots on both sides.
What prevents us from eliminating backups? What are the failure scenarios?

Also, your snapshots are all pointing to the original file system. If something happens to the original file system, you cannot recover from the snapshots.
