What patch of FLARE 24 did you install and are you using any layered applications like MV, SnapView or SANCopy? Are you running Navisphere Manager on the array and what version of Java have you upgraded to?
Also maybe this EMC knowledgebase article will help you: Slow Navisphere Management performance, emc176825.
I'm not sure if this has something to do with the noticed slowness, but I would expect that an older type of Clariion with Pentium 4 or Xeon (don't remember what's in the SP's) and a limited amount of memory running a new and enhanced version of Flare will eventually run into it's limiits.... I've heard more people complain about slowness of Navisphere after upgrading to F24 or 26.....
A Cx700 is comparable to a Cx3-40, and a Cx500 is comparable to a Cx3-20 in terms of cache and processing power so the FLARE should run similar to those systems. I have noticed the slowness on Cx700s and a Cx3-80 running FLARE 24 with large configurations. The Cx700s had the max enclosures and drives, and the Cx3-80 had 31 enclosures full of drives.
I think the knowledgebase article that Carl listed is the best explanation I have heard so far.
