Delayed Shipping & Delivery, #2
I ordered a Dell Inspiron 14 7000 series on September 10, 2018 with an arrival date of October 5, 2018. A week before it was to arrive, the date changed to October 18, 2018. Customer service has informed me of a shipping delay due to a supply issue from the factory. Maybe it will arrive on October 18, maybe not. Most recent has been "no change in arrival date but we still don't have the parts". Arrival date is now three business days away, so I am not optimistic.
I requested compensation for continually waiting and not canceling my order. The response was "not possible". Seriously, why can't you folks send me a free cordless mouse or some other peripherals as thanks for not canceling?
It is sad because I like the quality of Dell, but i you cannot deliver on time and refuse to offer any sort of compensation as an apology for the delay, it may be time to take my business to a different computer manufacturer.

I am with you! I am on my 4th Delay and I am expecting what will soon be my 5th. I have never had a problem like this before.

Order delayed AGAIN. now delivery scheduled for October 26. what is going on Dell? And still no discussion of compensation, not even an apology. Time to tell my university to switch to a brand of computers with better record of customer support.
