Problems getting employment verification letter - dead end

Question

I am a previous Dell employee who needs an Employment Verification Letter for immigration purposes. I called the HR # listed for employment verification at 1-888-335-5663

I sat through prompts on a phone tree that ended up giving me a # to a third party company that I needed to call to have the Employment Verifcation provided (800-367-5690). That number had prompts where it asked and I entered my social security #. That gave me an employer code of 10097 and said Dell was one of the companies listed that I could request an Employment Verification Letter from. I was placed on hold for 15 min and the rep who answered said my social did not pull up anything in their system. She instructed me to call back to Dell to tell them my social was not pulling up anything in their system.

I called Dell again. There is no option to speak to a rep. if you chose the options to request employment verification for a previous employee, the only option it gives is telling you to call the 800-367-5690 that I already did who could not find my SSN once I got to the rep. The systems prompts before the rep did pull up my info. The rep keeps saying I have to discuss this issue with Dell HR……

I've tried it myself.  Don't click 'employee', click 'enter here', you will see the fee schedule and then fill out the form to create your username and pin.  By the way, here's another number to call:   For additional help, please call 1-800-996-7566 or 1-800-424-0253 (tty) (tty) Monday - Friday 8:00 AM CST - 8:00 PM CST.

Hi Cikindrick,

Employment verification is provided by external vendor, The Work Number at 800-367-5690. The Work Number is an automated service that provides a variety of human resource and payroll services, including employment and income verification.

The Work Number can also provide an Employment Verification letter via PDF online. You will need to access them at http://www.theworknumber.com.

If you need a notarized letter for Employment Verification, you will need to call the work number directly and ask for a manager to prepare the notarized employment verification letter, and they will send it via postal mail.

I explained in my post that I have called the number several times without any success. I also went to that website and was unable to get the pdf you are listing. Are there more directions on how to accomplish this like which prompts to select on the phone or which choices to click on the website? I spent over an hour yesterday and have not had this issue contacting other previous employers.

When I log in using Dell's employer ID 10079, it gives me a few options. The top one is "I want to provide proof of my employment only". once clicked, it tells me to have my employer contact the website instead of providing me with the employment verification. I have copied and pasted the response below. Is there another option I should be selecting? the other options available require a dell user ID to log in. I do not have that as I am no longer an employee. please advise.

How to Authorize Verifications Basic Instructions

These instructions apply if you want someone to verify your employment only (no income).

Provide your verifier with your Social Security Number and the name of your employer.

Hey Robert,

I face similar problem but the solution no longer works. The work number interface has changed.

I'm a former Dell EMC employee and I could not pass the identity quiz on the work number phone line; I could not reach a human in HR department either. Please help!
