MD Storage Discovery issue
Has anyone had any luck discovering MD Storage with OM Enterprise since it has been made supported and shows up in the product matrix?
Currently running version 3.3.1.12 (latest) and get the following error when discovering the Management IPs of the MD Storage:
: ========== EEMI Code: CGEN1009 ==========
Message: Unable to perform the requested action because the device management endpoint authentication over SNMP failed.
Recommended actions: Make sure the credentials associated with the device management endpoint are valid and retry the operation.
I had left the community string as public also.

There are three things I can think of to check: Ports are open, same SNMP versions are enabled at both ends, and the community string or user/pass are set correctly on both ends. Also, you should always try restarting the appliance to resolve any issues, it seems to fix many things.

Any success? I can't even find where to enable SNMP on an MD series. SC Series yes, MD no.

I should have waited a tad longer to post. Found the SNMP settings in the primary MDSM client, before you connect to the individual array.
Edit > Configure Alerts > SNMP tabs.
I set an SNMP string there, and was then able to discover the MD series by using Storage > Other from OME and setting the community string there. Discovered and good now.
