OME v3.3.1 - Database optimisation?

Hi,

We've been using v3.3.1 for a while now and we have around 3.5k devices on-boarded, however we've noticed that the nightly inventories are running later and later the next day and taking on average 16 hours to finish. We've assigned the Appliance 64gb of memory and 8 processors with I think 8 cores each and it seems sluggish when running most tasks, post update inventory tasks seem the slowest and some times fail to run at all.

With 3.5k devices, I really don't want to start again with a new appliance and was wondering if there were any database optimisation tools out there?

One detail I did miss, the devices are spread over 3 sites, so network latency could be an issue.. I'm pondering if its worth having 3 Appliances one on each site, however this does come with some additional support overheads.
