Don't know is your color settings are causing this problem or not, but worth a try. To get to the settings in most versions of windows
Right click blank place on desktop,
Click properties,
Click the settings tab,
Check to see what your color settings are, 256, 16 bit, 32, bit
If set at other than 16, 32 as required by your cdrw,
Scroll to settings (usually 16 is sufficient), select it
Apply,
The system will probably require a restart .... if not probably a good idea to restart anyway... or so I have found.
