If using Windows XP, you could get rid of the message by updating the bios to the latest version, which is XP2. Getting rid of the unknown device in System Properties is solved by installing the Solution Center as previously suggested, but will not make the button operative in Windows XP. Note that only the ME version of the Solution Center has the driver -- not the XP version.
