E5420 SMBus Controller + Win7 x64 SCCM OSD

Has anyone else had issues with the Intel 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family SMBus Controller - 1C22 driver? If I add this to my driver package and have it try to install in the task sequeance it crashes the install. It will not however crash if I remove it from system center and add it manually after the fact. I'm going to pull a log and see if there is anything there but wanted to see if anyone else has ran across this.

The log file is not real helpful. It's installing the driver package fine it's in the actual windows setup it looks like it's failing.

Start executing the command line: OSDSetupWindows.exe

Windows setup failed, code 31 OSDSetupWindows 6/1/2011 9:36:10 AM 248 (0x00F8)
setup.run(), HRESULT=80004005 (e:\nts_sms_fre\sms\client\osdeployment\setupwindows\setupwindows.cpp,1707) OSDSetupWindows
Exiting with code 0x80004005 OSDSetupWindows
Process completed with exit code 2147500037 TSManager
!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------!
Failed to run the action: Setup windows and ConfigMgr. Unspecified error (Error: 80004005; Source: Windows)

Gotta love generic errors.

Holy cow, I thought I was going crazy.  I'm have the identical problem.  The logs I've gotten are completely useless as well.  What I am noticing is that the NIC is being deconfigured after the SMBus controller driver is applied. I'm wondering if it isn't a bad NIC driver? Of course one isn't available from Dell.
