G5000 upgrades?
Hello, I'm just wondering if anyone has every upgraded the power supply for a G5000 Desktop. I'm looking to upgrade my GPU and would require more power but I cannot find a power supply on dells website. so wondering if I buy a Corsair PSU if it'll work with the PC. (first time possibly upgrading a pc)

G5 5000 uses same psu as XPS 8940.
top psu 500w. typically sold on eBay.
can also use 24/4 pin SFX psu +. 24 to 6 pin adapter.

So I find another aftermarket power supply that fits in the case I should be able to use that adapter ?

caveat: PSU stays on after shutdown and requires you to flip the switch for it to turn off. Also, the cable management is not great.
