Maxxaudio pro/Realtek driver issues

I have a dell G7 15 7588. Audio worked fine until recently the maxxaudio software keeps detecting that i have devices plugged in the audio jack yet no device plugged in. I tried disabling and re-enabling it in device manager but it didn't work, i tried re-installing the realtek audio driver nothing works. However, when i uninstall the realtek driver from dell and keep the windows driver, i can get audio through internal speakers and earphones if they are plugged in. But as soon as i install the  Realtek High Definition Audio v6.0.1.8642 (A03) April 15, 2019, my laptop reboots and Maxxaudio pro software prompts me with pop-up asking which device did i plug in? Kindly help me!

Rayray_4,

Uninstall the Realtek Audio and maxxaudio, reboot the computer. Once back up reinstall the Realtek, reboot, and install the maxxaudio.

Hey Rayray_4,

Let me ask the engineering team about this. I will let you know once I hear back from them.

Hey Rayray_4,

I heard back from the engineer. She said that there are some drivers mix up and maxx wave pro software. She suggest doing a clean uninstall of drivers. Try the method from the device manager. Open device manager expand sound devices and right click on realtek and uninstall check the box to delete drivers. Do the same for all any other entry under sound devices and also uninstall maxx audio pro. Then install realtek drivers from here. Also, install maxx wave audio from here.  Let us know if this resolves the issue.

Hi @DELL-Jesse L,

It didn't work, I followed the instructions but after restarting the laptop this dialog popped up asking me which device did i plug in? Yet, nothing is plugged into the audio jack.

Rayray_4,

You can check the box that reads "Don't show this dialog again" and click ok. Restart the computer. Does it pop back up on restart?

I don't think the pop-up is the issue. I can't hear sound through the internal speakers, it seems like the PC thinks there are headphones plugged into the audio jack
