Need immediate help

Hlo Dell,

I bought Del insprion 5510 (512gb, 8gb, i5), in 2022 year, I actually started this laptop after coming to Canada (2024 year). My experinece is wrost, this (Profanity removed due to TOS Violation) laptop, becomes very slow, when ever I do coding, create simple react applciation, all the rubber grip go away highlighting its poor quality stuff like, I bought this for (Inr 64,000~CAD 1,045) I don't think after spending this amount of money the owner(of this laptop) himself will damage this machine. I am in Canada,  it's being more than 3 months I am trying to do transfer ownership still didn't get support from DELL.

If you can help please do

I do not know much about CAD and Coding software.  The Dell Inspiron 5510, with the Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD, can be considered acceptable for light to moderate CAD and coding tasks, but may not be ideal for intensive work.

For that type of work most users use the Dell Precision Workstations.

To transfer your warrant on the system click here.

To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them.  Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

Hi

So in 2022 you spent 64,000 INdian Rupees, circa 1,005 CAnadian Dollars on a Dell Inspiron 5510 laptop.

3 years later it needs a transfer of ownership?

Because there is an extended warranty or something?

Have you increased the RAM capacity?

Have you cleaned the internal fan, or done any kind of 'housekeeping' to ensure you maintain the maximum performance?

The picture, IMHO, shows a well used/scuffed device.

Is there a fault or problem that needs immediate attention?

@DELL-Jesse L , I have sent over 5 request everytime customer care says try in different way they gave their owner which is not appreciated cause all of them didn't work for me, transferring the ownership is not that hard process we know but still it is troublesome for me cause of your excellent service, please tell what to do since you are giving the same steps that I have to do, now I wanna prioritize this issue

@anne_droid, I didn't upgrade the RAM nor cleaned the fan, since DELL just said to be there is should be 30 gb free space in C-drive, now tell me one as a student/working professinoal is this ideal , AM I buying 512 gb storage laptop just to keep 30gb free space in C-drive. Also, DELL inspiron 15 series is known for its premium quality but, please tell me if someone is paying more that $1000/INR 63,000, they have the expection to use this laptop for atleast 5 years, but in my case I actually started using this laptop when I moved to Canada 2024.

My only problem is performance, I can compromise this worst quality but not with performance/speed.

OK

I do not really fully understand how a change of ownership will improve the performance/speed.

I do consider 8GB of ram inadequate for professional use, and would buy/add/fit a 16 GB memory module.

I can understand the want of 30 gb of free space on a drive, to allow for updates/backups and perhaps to enable a larger swapfile, even for more restore points.

None of which affects your expectation of the 5 year life, starting from 2024 .

I wish you luck.

BYE.

@anne_droid Thanks for the reply, I'll then try to update the RAM, in the meantime, do you know how can I speed up the process as this sh**y DELL took more that 3 months for just f**ck transfer of ownership, still is pending, nor they have any service centre in Canada where I can go.
