InsightIQ datastore retention
Hi
We currently have an InsightIQ datastore which is at 100% capacity. I can see that there's an option for deleting specific data sets, but I wondered if there are any alternative options such as reducing the length of time which data is kept for?
For example one of our Isilon clusters is using up 500GB of space on the InsightIQ datastore spanning a 3.5 year period. Just keeping 2 years would be enough and deleting anything older would free up space on the datastore, but from what I can see there is no way to configure this?
By far the biggest space hog are the 'Per File IFS Operation Counters', but I'm not sure what functionality we would loose from deleting that particular dataset entirely.
Kind regards, Tim.

@Tim12345678910
In WebUI->Setings->Configure-> FSA Configuration , you can set the days and how mant datasets to retain.

Thanks for that @PhilLam. After doing a bit more reading around, my understanding is that the Data Sets are held on the Isilon itself, so reducing the number that are retained wont actually reduce the usage on the InsightIQ datastore.
It seems to be the case that you can safely leave the InsightIQ datastore to reach full capacity, as InsightIQ will automatically prune the oldest historical data to make room for new. This doesn't appear to be something you can change.
I can confirm that our InsightIQ datastore has been reporting 100% capacity for the last few weeks, and the system is still operating as normal. The only reason you might want to add more storage is if you have a requirement to keep more historical data.
