Dell Inspiron N4010 web cam driver

Hi,

i think it is not shown in the sympton tree. I have run the test for it. it said pass. but the webcam is still not work.

and my computer is already pass the warrenty.

Run the Webcam Diagnostics and answer these questions. I can tell from the answers what to do.

Did the webcam show in the symptom tree?

Any error messages?

Is the computer under warranty?

I just run it again. and it said pass. and all are okay for it. i did it!

It only takes a few minutes to run. The answer if it shows in the symptom tree or not is important. I have two different answers.

In the left column, the webcam was listed in the symptom tree.

Start, control panel, user accounts. Create a new unrestricted user account. Then try the webcam. Did the webcam work?

Now log out. Log in to your user account. Does the webcam work?

So the webcam is NOT listed in the symptom tree. The webcam came loose from the motherboard, usually near the top of the screen, near the webcam. If you're under warranty, then contact Dell tech Support. If not under warranty, then you'll need to reattach the webcam.
