Dell Laptop w/ Windows 8 won't boot past dell logo screen
Inspiron 15R SE 7520
When I attempt to start my laptop it goes to the Dell logo screen and will not boot Windows 8. Any suggestions?
I've had the computer less than a month and if I have to restore the system completely it will not cause much of a problem.

Hello,
I am currently having a similar problem. I turned my lap top after class and it was working just fine, literally 10 minutes afterwards I turned it back on and ran into this similar problem. I attempted the above instructions and had no luck. I did the Pre-Boot System Assessment Diagnostics and all the exams were passed except that it said that the hard drive was not connected. In this case what can I do? At this point saving the files is all I want. Please help! Thank you

Hello
I have this same problem but when I turn on my laptop it goes to the logo for about 4 seconds and I tried pressing f2 and it showed the blue loading bar on the bottom of the dell logo but then turned off again. I also tried pressing f12 but the same goes, the blue loading bar and turns off again. If I dont press any of them the logo appears and 4 seconds in immediately turns off. Please message me if you have any answers for this question.

I have followed your instructions. My inspiron1545 does not have Intel Smart Response. My diagnostics code is 2000-0146. What is my next course of action?

So I have a dell laptop that will only turn on and go to the dell pic and then the window and then a black screen !!! I tried the above instructions and it it said to do ahci that was already in the selection help I really need this computer for work

mine is win 10, while reseting laptop it was not moving beyond 2 % so i forced restarted and opted to go to previous win 10, but it is not rebooting now
