l521x mSATA not getting 6gb/s speed

I have installed a 6gb/s ssd into my l521x; however, I am getting 3gb/s speeds (~250mb/s read and write)

Is there a setting to enable 6gb/s speeds on the l521x?

It appears the l521x has the HM77 chipset

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/chipsets/performance-chipsets/mobile-chipset-hm77.html

which does support 6gb/s throughput

suggestions to fix this please?

Thank you

downgrade your bios to A11. just do an internet search for that and it'll land you to dell's bios page. i tried a few down from a16 and though i knew it was a11 to get the max, i just did it for kicks.

you may not get the "full" 6gb/s. i was mid to high 5gb.

What type of features/bug fixes are we not going to have if we do this though?

the bios website should tell you if you looked/searched at it. they say the content of each bios.

Cool... perhaps I was asking to make this forum useful, just throwing out a potential fix without discussing the repercussions of it would be advised
