BIOS splash page

Hello,

I'm would like to change the BIOS splash page, the first thing you see on the screen when you power on the  Dell Latitude E7250. There's the word "DELL" in huge letters and above that, there is the name of the original owner: "**** company name".  I assume that was put in when the machines were purchased new and I would like to know how to change that out, since I purchased the machine from the eBay.

No result after the BIOS has been updated.

Any advice?

Thanks.

@coin66  almost there.

Remember.

At that prompt type:

cd..

cd..

cd users

This next one will be your user name.

Type:

dir

cd {Your User Account}

cd desktop

dir

Get to the screen that has the PlatTagsSWB4030 Directory

Dell Platform Tags Utility:

https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=jh25y&oscode=wt64a&productcode=latitude-e7250-ultrabook

I have to do it for E6420 XFR's and others.

It'll be c:\users\ \desktop\

substitute your username and the BIOS filename (the name of the file).

@coin66

Are you trying to change the "DELL" logo.

Or are you trying to remove a "Company Name" / "Owner Tag" above the "DELL" logo.

To remove a "Company Name" you must run the "Dell Platform Tags Utility:"

@coin66

I have not tried to run the utility on your model laptop.

On Monday I can test it on your model.

To match yours, what version BIOS do you have installed???
