Does Latitude E5500 support UEFI or not?
I have an ancient Dell Latitude E5500 with manufacture date of 09 JUN 2010.
Simple question: does this system hardware support UEFI or not?
I am seeing secure boot options in the BIOS menu, but I am not finding any Legacy/UEFI options.
Perhaps I am just missing it?
The reason I ask is that I had a thought to use this E5500 for Home Assistant HAOS, but the installation media requires UEFI. I know I could just install Home Assistant on top of Ubuntu or something, but using HAOS install media is just simpler.
If it matters, I have upgraded the E5500 to A19 BIOS, and just for fun I have also maxed it out with surplus parts... CPU was upgraded to Core2 Duo P8700, 4GB RAM installed, and a WD Blue 120GB SSD. It really has a nice, bright display considering its age. With my hardware upgrades, It's actually quite usable... I had Windows 10 64-bit running on it just fine!
