Latitude D830-maximum RAM upgrade
What is the most RAM that can be implemented on the D830? I've seen on other forums where people have said they've installed 4 and even 8 gigs of RAM. Anyone have better info on that?

Just tested!!!
4GB DDR2 6400 boots to BIOS. (2x2GB DDR2 6400)
6GB DDR2 6400 boots to BIOS. (1x2GB + 1x4GB DDR2 6400)
8GB DDR2 6400 halts at DELL splash??? (2x4GB DDR2 6400)
8GB DDR2 5300 halts at DELL splash??? (2x4GB DDR2 5300)
I would stick with 4GB max. (2x2GB DDR2 6400 Matching Par)

8GB RAM is the most you can install as long as you have the latest BIOS.
