New Kaby Lake XPS 13, developer edition timeline

Hi folks, just wondering if there is a timeline for the Developer Edition versions of the new Kaby Lake XPS 13?

Cheers,
Chris.

I see that the developer edition was released in the US today, but there is no 16 GB option. Looking at the UK site, I see a 16 GB option. I called and received no information regarding the release of a 16 GB developer edition option in the US. Is this going to be released and if so when? Thanks!

Isn't there on the UK page?

I can find it on the business page but there's no 1920x1080 option

Hi Zyell,

If you go to the XPS 13 product page the easiest way to see the Ubuntu line up is to select “Ubuntu” in the “Operating System” pull-down menu on the far left.  There should be 4 configs that come up.  The 16GB is the furthest to the right.

Thanks!

Actually I finally reached someone who was extremely helpful and gave me the link to the 16 GB option that I couldn't find before in the US store!  http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/xps-13-9360-laptop/pd?oc=cax13ubuntuh5133&model_id=xps-13-9360-laptop&stp_redir=false

Got it :)

Right now the developer edition is not showing up online in the UK and Ireland (its being addressed) :(

Are you seeing the dev ed on the business page?

The three configs offered in Europe are:

  • i5/8GB/256GB, FHD
  • i7/8GB/256GB, QHD+ (touch)
  • i7/16GB/512GB, QHD+ (touch)

The business section only shows the last two of those with the i7 and QHD.

The i5 FHD one isn't listed, and happens to be the one I'm most interested in.

I suppose I'm a home user, so I should wait for it to show up on there?

Hey,

Thanks for all the updates (I've been lurking around the forums until now).

Is the Developer edition supposed to be available for all countries in Europe by now? I don't see it listed on the Swedish site, and no way to change OS from Win10.

Any secret direct links? :)

Thanks!

Thanks Barton, the Finance team finally replied to me and it's sorted out.

Qoqnos, here's a link for, say, the 16 GB model (Theresa gave me this idea - just find the option you want on another country's page that has updated their links, then replace the country code):

There is still an error on this page:

http://www.dell.com/uk/p/xps-13-9360-laptop/pd?ref=PD_OC

Lists the FHD model as 'Touch Enabled' and one of the QHD ones as non-touch.

Also there is zero difference in price between the Windows and Ubuntu versions. Is this correct? Surely part of the price is the Windows license?
