cannot detect system manufacturer, model, bios, or processor

I have a E520 with C2D E6420, 2Gb ram, windows vista home premium. When I run dxdiag, it cannot detect the things in my title, and also can't detect my display driver even though I have the latest nvidia drivers for my card. All my apps/games run fine, but I have this one app that crashes because it can't detect my cpu info. in the system control panel it shows the manufacturer and model (Dimension DM061 ??) but cant find my cpu or ram. whats going on? Why cant it detect these things? I need to be able to detect them to run this app I want to run.

Thanks for the reply. It says Can't collect information. Cannot access the Windows Management Instrumentation software. Windows Management files may be moved or missing. I checked services and WMI is running, very odd :(

Also I deleted my WMI repository and rebooted (tried that 2x) and it still can't collect the info. I don't get it at all :\
