Battery removal
Hello
I have an Inspiron 5150 which I would like to run off of ac power and keep the batteries aside.
I do not have a manual; could someone give me the steps and locations to remove the batteries?
Thank you

Ther is only one main battery. http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins5100/en/sm/beginb.htm#1105426 tells you how.
Just scroll upwards in the link and you will see how to do so!

Thank you for the battery information.
Apparently I have not followed protocol but do not understand why.
I navigated DCF looking for general hardware which I believe this battery issue is.
I did not think any messenger was involved as I just posted a question hoping to initiate a thread. I notice both of you refer to a DCF messenger as if it were a private message. I can't see how I did this.
Please point out my error and I shall do my best to understand and comply.
Thank you

Nick
I have read "forums rules etc but I still do not understand what I did wrong as compared to what I always do.
1-I login
2-I navigate to the forum that applies to my isue
3-I click on 'new'
4-I see a blank box into which I explain my issue.
I have ised this forum for many issues and really want to continue using it correctly.
If I'm missing something please be kind enough to point it out.
Thank you for your cooperation.

The message tag is intended for those who send private messages rather than posting to this forum. The purpose of the forum is that the information should be available to all, not just a private thread to one user. Some people don't abide by that guideline, which is the reason for the message.

I understand now that the 'tag' is meant "for everyone in general not just addressed to me.
I am quite relieved to hear this.
I'd like to tell you the battery removal was easy and I am typing off of ac power.
Thanx for the help.
