Awhile ago, I accidentally brought a magnet to close to my Inspiron 5160, and now all these red dots keep appearing. I do not believe it was a pixel burnout, and every now and then it will be fine for like a day, and then come back to being messed up again. People have also told me to degauss it, but I've been told you cannot degauss a laptop.

As you can see, towards the bottom of the screen where the image gets darker, all those little red dots appear. This makes it very hard to play games or watch movies. If anyone has any idea what is wrong, or what I can do to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated.
