I reinstalled W2k o/s on a optiplex Gx260 model. we use a dos base application, when we open the application it shows in a smaller window display screen, I used to press Alt+Enter the get the full screen. Now after reinstalling can not view the applicaton on full screen. Message says "cannot display this video mode". Any help ?

DBNY,
Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
Change your display settings to the lowest setting to see if you can then open the application without error.

DBNY:
I too am having this issue on one of my workstations. It is a Dell Optiplex GX 260 and when trying to run an old DOS application in Full Screen it reports "Cannot Display This Video Mode". This however is only since the last set of Windows Updates I had run on the system. It used to work just fine.
Windows XP Pro / Optiplex GX260 / Dell Monitor Model: 1702FP
I am going to try reading and following these directions:
But I wanted to post this message before I turned the system off.
I'll try to followup if I have success for find an answer.

Nope, as I figured that was useless.
Troubleshooting was no help, no options close to this problem there. I went through all the modes and tried the lowest res, and 16bit color, no luck there.
It was running fine @ 60hz 1024x768pixels & 32bit color. Now if you try to take a DOS Application into full screen mode [ALT+ENTER] it says 'Cannot Display This Video Mode' and leaves me with no good answers. IF I'm giving up for today as I have a plate full of other tasks to complete. IF I find an answer I will post it here.
IF ANYONE ELSE knows how to resolve this please email me directly watkinst@techie.com and I'll mail you $20 for the tip.
