Dell U2713HM startup resolution problem
Yesterday I installed Dell U2713HM monitor and connected it to my desktop PC using the DVI cable provided with the monitor. Everything works great, except for one problem: when I restart the computer and login, the resolution is 1920x1200 and all my desktop icons are "rearranged". When I change the resolution to native 2560x1440 and put icons back in position using the Icon Restorer program, everything is ok until the next restart.
I installed monitor drivers from the disk provided with the monitor, updated my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 TI graphic card to the most recent version of drivers from nvidia.com and the problem persists. Please advice.
Sincerely, Dejan

I solved the problem. The trick is to disable Windows Live Mesh Remote Connections service. Thats it.

I found this on the Microsoft Forum, Try to uninstall and reinstall Windows Live Mesh to see if that works. Your display driver is defaulting to the remote desktop driver.

dejanr,
In addition to the driver, did you happen to load the Dell Display Manager Application?

Ok, I located Dell Display Manager and installed it. Nothing changed. My display still boots in 1920x1200 mode, I have to change it manually to 2560x1440, and all the icons are grouped left, and have to be rearanged.
