S2719DGF, Nvidia, vertical scan lines, pixel inversion? #2
Hello,
I have the exact same problem with my Dell S2719DGF AMD FreeSync monitor. I bought it from Amazon Germany and I already got a replacement model because of the problem, but the second one has the same problem. The GPU is a GTX 1080 with the latest driver on Windows 10. Is there any solution to this problem?
Greetings

Dell does not validate the mixing of Nvidia video cards and AMD FreeSync monitors. The AMD FreeSync S2719DGF monitor was never tested/validated by Dell with Nvidia video cards. The AMD FreeSync S2719DGF monitor sales site mentions AMD seven times. It never mentions Nvidia. Read this =

I understand your point if you argue about using freesync with nvidia cards, but I turned free-sync off via the OSD panel of the monitor and the problem still appears. I can observe these vertical lines in moving pictures/videos/games/moving the browser window.
That should rule out any problems regarding free-sync or am I wrong?

Two S2719DGF, both with same issue on that non-validated Nvidia video card. Points to the video card or driver as fault. If you want Dell to troubleshoot, replicate the issue on a validated AMD video card.

Ok, thanks for your answer.
I have an AMD R9 380X which I can try at the weekend.

Okay, I have tested my Sapphire AMD R9 380X Nitro with the newest driver but the problem remains:
Radeon Software Version - 19.3.3
Radeon Software Edition - Adrenalin 2019
Graphics Chipset - AMD Radeon (TM) R9 380 Series
Memory Size - 4096 MB
Memory Type - GDDR5
Core Clock - 1040 MHz
Windows Version - Windows 10 (64 bit)
System Memory - 16 GB
CPU Type - Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz

FreeSync is turned on in the OSD panel and in the radeon settings.
I have also tested with two different display port cables.
I get these vertical lines as soon as something moves horizontally i.e. moving the browser window from left to right, watching a video, playing a game, but they are hard to capture with my smartphone cam.
When nothing moves in the screen, the lines appear somtimes for short time frames, but then they disappear and everything looks normal again.
They do not appear when something moves vertically i.e. when scrolling down / up a website.
They are especially visible for certain colors like green/blue tones (i.e. the blue banner on this website) but also slightly visible for other colors like grey tones.
The previous problem thread already tried to explain it as best as possible and it is exactly the same behaviour he described.
I already did the factory settings reset via the OSD panel but it didn't help.
What can we do now?
EDIT: Something that could be relevant: Before I got these two monitors, I had a third one which I had just for a few days but I returned it to Amazon because it had some scratches on the screen. I didn't notice any problems with vertical lines even with the nvidia card before. But I maybe I just didn't notice them because I used it not that long. But maybe is it just very bad coincidence that the second and third model I got have both the same malfunction the first one with the scratches did not have.
I would like to try another a 4th monitor, but I think I can't stress amazon customer service to send me a 4th model. It really bothers me because I thought the first one I got was a perfect match if it had not those scratches..
EDIT 2: I also have a DELL UltraSharp U2311H as a secondary monitor which works flawlessly, so I can tell that the pc itself does not make problems with other monitors.

I tried the built in diagnostics of the monitor, but its very hard to see the vertical lines because nothing moves in the test pictures and there are only static screens.
Nevertheless, I can see the lines when moving my eyes/head in the first grey picture of the test when sitting close to the monitor.
For the other test pictures I couldn't notice them.

A video showing us the v-lines would be helpful.
* Open the OSD Menu- Others
* Choose Factory Reset- Reset all settings to the factory preset values
* Exit the Menu
On this 2015 Sapphire AMD R9 380X Nitro, does it have two HDMI out ports? Or only one? Anyway, test all of its video out ports to the S2719DGF video in ports using the Hz below and check for v-lines.
2560x1440 at 144Hz (HDMI 2.0/ DP 1.2)
2560x1440 at 60Hz (HDMI 1.4)
