We offer four versions of the 2715 (P2715Q, U2715H, UP2715K, UZ2715H). All made by LG or Samsung with AH-IPS panels. All with the same anti-glare 3H hardness faceplate coating. You should run the monitor BID (Built-in Diagnostics) and post side by side pictures of the colored screens.

So If I buy two U2715H Monitors the coating should be identical?

This is the only photo I have right this second. But the difference in coating makes a difference to the image.

* I did not state identical. I stated they use the same anti-glare 3H hardness faceplate coating. Are you really going to be using those with that light between them?

We need to see the side by side pictures of the BID colored screens.

Were they both purchased from Dell at the same time? What are the 20 digit serial numbers?

If it's the same model of monitor I'd expect the coating to at least ball park match (I understand you saying not "identical" in order to cover yourself with description but I don't think there's a need to be pedantic), not be completely different.

Obviously I am not going to use the panels with that light between, but that makes no difference to the coating. The colour is different between them and due to that coating there is a distinct sparkle to the image on the right hand one, like looking through a dirty window.

Both purchased from Amazon.

You must first transfer the service tag into your name. Once completed, you could then go through Dell and request a monitor exchange. But there is no guarantee that the coating on the replacement will match to your wishes.

Thanks for your reply.

I guess the question I am asking here is what are the tolerances on your monitors.

These seem quite different to each other. Is there someone I can contact within the technical department who can tell me about any potential changes to the coating. These are both manufactured Oct 2015, same rev A02. I am just surprised they are so different so am assuming that one of them is faulty. Which one is incorrect, or are you saying these are within your manufacturing tolerance?

Also adding this image to help show what I mean about the coatings. i can see how the other image looks as though it's the sunlight flaring the panel.

I emailed the Displays Team earlier for their thoughts. The team thinks that they should be closer in appearance. Get the right one exchanged.
