U4025QW, firmware M3T104, jumps volume to 100%
Hi I just updated my Dell U4025QW monitor to latest firmware M3T104. However now when I try and lower volume in Windows 11 it just stays for 2-3 sec then it jumps up to 100% all the time. I have tried to restart my laptop and screen no luck.
If I change audio device to my laptop everything works as expected. Only when I use the DELL U4025QW (2- HD Audio Driver For Display Audio) this is happening.
Is something wrong with the latest firmware M3T104 ?

I wanted to post an update on my end. I narrowed down the issue to DDPM.
I contacted GHN and they suggested to downgrade my firmware. I downgraded the firmware but the issue persists. I uninstalled DDPM and the issue was gone.
Then I upgraded to M3T104 (without DDPM), there was no issue. I proceed to install DDPM and there was the volume issue.
This is unfortunate as I want to utilize DDPM, but not with this bug.
I hope this helps others.
EDIT: The monitor is connected to my desktop PC via DisplayPort and my speakers are connected to the monitor's audio line-out.

Just tested - uninstalled DDPM! Now all is good! What a relief. Do not need the DDPM really just used it to update firmware of my montior and webcam. I think they probably never will get another updates so I am good! Thanks @tho170

@InfotecMB I received a notification from DDPM app on windows..
go to settings on your DDPM app and click 'Check for update'
Or maybe for your region it might arrive later..

I can confirm. "100% Volume" bug has been resolved in DDPM 2.1.0.24. Thank you!
You can still adjust the Windows Volume level by changing the OSD Audio Volume, but after that, you can change the Windows Volume Level to any other value, and it will no longer jump to 100%.

I too have downloaded and installed version 2.1.0.24 (do so via the app) and can happily report after 45 minutes the volume has remained stable and that issue appears resolved.

Marking as solution for visibility only.
If willing, test DDPM version 2.1.0.23.
DDPM 2.1.0.24 is currently only available via updating from within the DDPM app.

My solution now is to add a pair of external speakers and disable speakers in the OSD controls. I noticed if I turn down volume in OSD control it will also jump back up to 100% after a few seconds.
I would say, from my end now its a confirmed Firmware bug.
Anyway the audio was bad in this screen so the added speakers actually makes things better in the end. Cheers.

I am also having the same issue. Disabling the speakers in the OSD controls do not work. The settings only reset themselves. Can we please have someone from Dell look into this and advise?

Yes I noticed also that it reset the "off" from ti.e to time. Every time I start a Teams meeting now my volume is at max.
There is a bug in the new firmware with volume. Please Dell, get a tech guy to look into this it's a very frustrating problem everyday now.

You both have to start a case.
Dell GHN (Get Help Now) chat technical support must verify the ownership and warranty status. Click the blue "Get Help Now" on the right to start a private live chat session. Share the private Service Tag with them. Once verified, they will troubleshoot with you.

Did you both follow my instructions above and contact GHN?
M3T104 was released several months ago in April and yours are the first reports of the issue. So doesn't sound like a systemic issue with all U4025QW.
What are the non-private 20 digit serial numbers?
Try the (3) No cables, power button reset, then retest.
What PC model?
How are you connecting using which ports and cables?
Disabling the speakers in the OSD controls do not work. The settings only reset themselves.
* Explain. You set Speaker to Off. Exit the Menu. Then use the U4025QW and the Speaker is still Off? Then what are you doing? Your not turning the monitor OFF are you?

Yes I started GHN we factor reset everything - still issues.
Here is video https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/4dl30gvd3wo5hpz44r8g9/20250701_145202.mp4?rlkey=v5p8hjv8ick9n0ttf5ctluju7&dl=0
I have a bit hard time looking behind the monitor as its in a corner. I took a photo of S/N ? Is it the full S/N you want?
PC is a ASUS Zephyrus G16.
Connected via Thunderbolt 4.
OSD explanation
1. I open OSD with the button on tha back. Go to Audio. I set Speaker to "Off". Exit OSD. 2-3 sec later its turned On again if I go to OSD. It does not stay Off.
Its like the monitor is pulsating a 100% volume signal that overrides every setting.
