A quick question on Clustering
I am bout to embark on my first Cluster backup !!
I understand that I have to install NW clients and appropriate modules on all physical nodes. I believe I also understood most of the configuration side of thing, except;
Do I need to install any NW component on the Virtual node?
Thanks
Habib

No. When backing up virtual node SW gets called from active node. Just follow installation guide and you won't go wrong.

NW: 7.3.3 Built 510
--------------------------
I have now configured my two Physical Nodes (PNODES) and my Virtual Node (VNODE) as instructed by the doc. Both my (PNODES) are Storage Nodes. I can back up my PNODES but I am having problem with my VNODE.
In my VNODE client configuration I have made the necessary entry in the Remote Access fields and in the Storage Nodes fields I have entered my two PNODES devices. My directive on the VNODE is set to "ALL".
When I initiated my backup nothing happened, I enter a waiting mode, the volume is not mounted.
Also, I have lots of shared folders on my VNODE, but I notice the by specifying ALL I only see the Q drive in the waiting entry and not all my data.
Where could I be going wrong?
BTW: I can open another thread if this one is not appropriate.
Thanks for your help.
