Recently purchased Inspiron 1501 with Windows Vista Basic Home.

Dialup connection will drop out intermittently. I have tried
the fixes posted in this forum with no satisfaction.

My modem diagnostic log shows that the connection is dropped due
to a Retrain Failure. Anybody know what that is or how to fix it ?
