Losing network connection

Question

Recently I posted a message about losing my wireless internet connection after leaving the computer unused for several, and I want to thank those who replied. Yesterday, a friend helped me solve the problem. The firewall(Zone Alarm,free) was stopping the access. After manually entering the ISP into the trusted zone,the connection stays up. Why the connection works after bootup, but dies after 1-2 hours of non-use, is a mystery to me, but as the old saying goes ' When you want to know what time it, the make of the watch doesn' matter' Thanks again Al

Does ur network adapter being shutdown by the power management to save power?

This problem was solved. The forewall (Zone Alarm) was causing the problem, but
only after several hours of non use.

I am still having a problem, with shutting the screen off only. I got an answer
about using Dell Quick Set. The screen will shut down, but the computer goes into hibernate mode, so right now, I am keeping the screen on.
