Upgrading a wireless network card
Hi
I have a two year old Dell, an XPS Q740 (from the system info) Intel i7 CPU. Works fine but I've recently upgraded my router to an N standard with dual channels operating at 2.4ghz and 5ghz, so I'd like to improve the the network options for my machine.
Looking at the device manager, it says I'm using an Intel wifi link BGN 1000 which operates at 2.4ghz.
Can anyone suggest what card if any I can install to bring about a speed improvement. Fibre broadband is also due in my area soon so I want to take advantage of this :emotion-1:
Thanks

I have a dell 1645 studio XPS , its using an incredibly slow Intel 6250 Wireless-N w/WiMAX (2x2) Mini Card
I have new good routers, I upgraded to Win 10 PRo but can't seem to fix it faster even with updates from windows and intel
Any ideas what I could or should I replace it.

I am having problems with network driver disappearance so no network at times so I'm thinking about an upgrade for the network card. I have a latitude E5520 I know it's old but apart from adapter prblems it works well. So I'm thinking about an upgrade for the network card, Can you recommend one? you will probably know but this laptop has Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6205. Can I get a better card for my laptop?
