Optiplex 7010 SFF, GPU upgrade
I have a Dell Optiplex 7010 SSF, Corei7 3770 - 6 GB ram - power supply 240W
I want to know What is the highest Vega Card Compatible with it?
I want to run high graphics games like Assassins Creed: Syndicate, So i want to buy Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 or GeForce GTX 660, AMD Radeon R9 270 Or Radeon HD 7870 or something else , but
Someone told me, Not all graphics cards work with you, It's about what is compatible with your device, motherboard, your power supply and what can be carried , Modern graphics cards are working on 600W or higher power supply and your power supply working on 240W so you have no chance to run these cards on your computer
and too your device is compatible with "Mini" graphics card only.
So can i know what graphics cards can i run with my power supply or my device.
Thanks a lot :)

Does anyone know if a MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 Low Profile Video Card will fit in my SFF? I hope so because I already ordered it…

Heyy @speedstep
I have upgraded the system to
i7 3770
16 gigs of ram
only thing left is the gpu
i tried searching for the rx 6400, but it is not available in my locale and is costly to import it from foreign states/countries
I am thinking of 1030 2gb LP that you mentioned earlier of these posts as it is cheap and a good enough gpu
can you just tell me the correct version for that gpu and will any company's gpu work with it or specific one

I have a 7010 with 16 gigabytes of RAM, 3rd Generation i5 @3.2ghz, and that exact Gigabytes Nvidia GT 1030 Low profile 2 Gigabyte GDDR5 and it works GREAT! There are some issues with newer games of course which stress a video card, but I'm usually able to adjust the video settings to get all games to play. However, some newer games are unplayable (for me) but I've heard that an upgrade the the low profile low power GTX 1650 4GB would open up my older machine to play those gfx challenged titles however i will probably be going to 6th gen i5 or i7 with 20x0 series Nvidia with min 4gb vid ram i know how to operate without requiring the most expensive top of the line of anything. All right let me get off this tangent. the 7010 w/ 3.2ghz i5 and GT 1030 with gddr5 2gb allows me to play Alien: Isolation at all epic settings with only an occasional hiccup which in no way detracts from the game. I play mostly horror, psychological, survival, but almost predominantly first person and there are plenty of titles for me to play with this sub standard old hardware setup, but it allows me to fully enjoy them. plus there's so many quality games that have been released post 2010 so I have a ton of games back up currently in my queue to play. Just wanted to comment on that as many people in the thread seem to be asking questions about older systems. Of course I'm approaching this thread in 2023 and most of post and replies are older but hopefully I add some hope and good information for others with subpar hardware setups similar to mine.
