Wireless card compatibility - Optiplex 330
Hey, I am looking to buy a wireless card for my optiplex 330 and I have come across this one made by dell
https://www.ebay.com/c/1054505438 (WIFI + BT) I just would like to know if this card fits in my case and if it's compatible.
I know it's a mini PCIe card but I thought they are the only ones that fit because my pc is half size/small factor, (DT edition).
If it's not, should I search for a full sized one?

Use a USB adapter. Less than $20
older os will need drivers
Windows 8 and 10 you plug in and it works

Both will work but you may need to remove brackets because they seem to be full height cards.

I do not think this will work with your optiplex 330DT.
problem is not height of mini PCIe card. problem is old 330 motherboard has no such mini card slot to support this mini card. The Mini PCIe is also a PCIe x1 (electrically) but physically different slot.
easiest wireless option for optiplex is USB WiFi dongle. Or get a PCIe wireless card that includes a low profile bracket. https://www.ebay.com/itm/PCI-E-Express-300M-Wireless-WiFi-Card-Adapter-w-Low-Profile-Bracket-US-Stock-/292336563784
Another option is Dell KVCX1 8VP82

There is a reason I need one of those specific cards.

@redxps630 I do not understand how any PCI-e wifi card works in a 330. There is only 1 slot and the others are 32 bit 33mhz PCI 2.2 Not PCI-E. the one pci-e slot on either model is video card only.
Hmm I see. However I want to avoid usb dongles. Can you tell me if these fit/are compatible ? they have nowhere to fit they are not compatible.either tower or desktop only have one pci-e slot and it only supports a video card.

I'm also in agreement on USB dongle. I wanted to add it will still come with a drivers disk, which I still needed to use with Win10 Pro.

Oh thank you. I will probably get a usb dongle. It ain't worth it using adapters as it will be too expensive.
Have a nice day
