Memory BIOS error

Hello all

To my Poweredge R710 i had 12 GB of memory occupying the BANKS of each processor 1,2,3

The memory type was ELPIDA 2GB 2Rx8 PC3-8500E ECC  DIMM Unbuffered

I acquired 2 more DIMMS of:

SAMSUNG 2GB 1Rx8 PC3-10600E Unbuffered.

I put them as follows:

Processor A:

 Banks A1, A2, A4 and A5  Samsung Memory

And Processor B:

Banks B1, B2, B4 and B5 with Elpida memory.

Now each time i start the windows i have an error after the memory diagnostics:

UNSUPPORTED CONFIGURATION: DIMM CONFIGURATION ON EACH CPU SHOULD MATCH.

It enters at Windows and i can see the full 16GB.

Is there a problem to leave it like this? or how can i resolve the issue.

thx

Then just change Daniel's answer according to the changes in your scenario:

A1,A2,B1,B2 with the Elpida memory

Then

A4, A5, B4, B5 with the Samsung memory.

You can't have all the Elpida in the A slots and all the Samsung in the B slots ... both processors must have exactly matching configurations (one processor should mirror the other).

Hello and thank you for your reply.

I did a mistake in my explanation above.

At Processor A i have

Banks A1, A2, A4 and A5  with Samsung Memory

And Processor B:

Banks B1, B2, B4 and B5 with Elpida memory.

That means that i cannot do what you tell me to do cause i have 4 DIMMS of  Elpida and 4 Dimms of Samsung.

Is there any other combination of memory which i can do in order not to have the erorr message from the BIOS?

thx
