Perc H310 Adapter - driver install issues
Hi. Hoping someone can help me with this. I've tried several times to update the PERC H310 driver on our T320 as recommended/cautioned by OMSA. Every attempt never gets past this message. I gave the trustedinstaller account full control of system32 & driver/driverstore folders. The update failed again but on a reboot the server crashed and had to be restored. A look into the drivers folder shows the new percsas.sys driver version 6.805.3 had actually replaced the previous 5.2.220.64 version and causing the boot sequence to fail.
On a similar note, I also tried to install a startech USB3.0 add-on card which I noted works on other PE models as well as the T320 but the same 'access denied' error occurred with every install attempt. I did the same thing with trustedinstaller permissions and have rebooted after this particular process with no boot issues but the driver never did take.
Any help with the PERC issue would really be appreciated.
Thanks.

Yes, that is the one. I tried a couple of earlier versions as well but still failed to install.

Thank you,I'll try that though I'm not sure exactly how. I haven't tried that approach before. Why would this be any different and what would prevent this approach from causing the server to fail on the boot process?

Updated: Even the BIOS update from 1.4.6 to most current 2.4.2 fails. I afraid to update this at all now.
Thank you very much for your help. I'll review all of this and try your suggestions. I did update the lifestyle controller version successfully as of your last communication but have not had a chance to setup the DRAC. It will be a while before I do any more work on this server as the owners are asking for any work to be done after Christmas. If it's okay, I'll update this thread as soon as I can which may not be until the New Year. Again, thank you very much for assisting! (btw Happy Holidays and all the best for the New Year.)

Hi. Just an update to let you know I still haven't made any headway as far as making time to resolve this still pending issue. I will update you on the status when I have any new information, whenever that may be on what appears to be a distant horizon. Apologies and thanks again for stepping up to assist.
