PSU Whine
Hi all,
My T310 Power Supply No 1 has started to give off a high frequency tone, when plugged in, even though PSU 2 is doing the work. When unplugged at the IEC connector, nothing changes. When the PSU is removed however, the whine disappears. No green lamp on PSU 1 either, when plugged in.
Is there a simple explanation, like buy a new PSU for No 1 of is this a possible fix?

Hello, thanks for choosing Dell and welcome to our community.
To be honest I am not quite confident to tell which would be the underlying issue- if the noise is caused by faulty power, I’d say it is worth considering replacements. (given the fan is not the issue)
