incompatibility with hpux 11.31 and powerpath 5.1.0 :(

Last week, I had to recover a 11.31 box w/powerpath from an ignite image.
During the final REBOOT, the box would hang when performing an insf (part of the boot-up).

Only way around was to boot into single, and remove powerpath from the kernel.
Once powerpath was removed, server booted fine and I was able to continue w/the recovery.

HP indicated that EMC has a "hotfix #3" which needs to be applied to powerpath 5.1.0
Currently working w/EMC to identify what needs to be done to correct this incompatibility.

Has anyone heard of hotfix #3?

this is my 1st post, and feel it might benefit someone with a similar env.
I know I would have appreciated this info., as it would have greatly reduced my recovery time :P
