7550 Function keys (fn keys) not working - software/driver missing?
Hi there,
the fn keys wont work on a 7550.
Maybe we are missing a driver or software?
We installed the .cab drivers and ran Dell Command Update
best wishes

Try pressing the Windows and the X key together. Brings up Windows Mobility Centre. There should be an option to swich the Fn key function. If that does not work then there should be an option in the bios.
You get to the bios setup on most Dells by tapping the F2 key immediately after power-on when the initial Dell logo appears. Look at the top left, you should see a message about entering setup. That I believe will be F2 on it's own. Not Fn + F2. Stop tapping when you see the message.
Might be in system Configuration > Function key behaviour. Something like that.
Once you have changed the behaviour, you will have to save and exit.

hi i guess for the mobility center option the dell quickset software needs to be installed.
we will check the bios option when the user is back in the office.
It should look like this, right?
