Code 43 and Nvidia Control Panel not opening
Hi everybody
I am running a Dell M3800 precision laptop with an Nvidia Quadro K1100M gpu, currently with Windows 10 Pro (10.0.19041), and have had it since 2015 without any problems. I use it mainly for cad, 3d modelling and some rendering (Autocad, Rhino, Grasshopper, V-ray, Revit, Adobe CS).
The past few months I have had to use it a lot more than I used to because I was working from home and at some point I realised my modelling software wasn't using the Nvidia card but the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 card. In the device manager, the Nvidia card showed a code 43 error and I couldn't access the Nvidia control panel from the desktop.
I have exchanged quite a bit with Nvidia tech support (who have been super responsive and helpful btw) but unfortunately nothing has worked. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest Nvidia drivers, I reinstalled the latest bios and chipset drivers from dell website, I have tried creating a new user account and installing it on there, I have installed various different Nvidia drivers and I still can’t get the card to work properly.
The last driver I have installed is the 426.78 dch whql. The code 43 went away in the device manager (it indicated that the Quadro card was working correctly) but there was no Nvidia control panel when right clicking on the desktop. In C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\ but there wasn’t any Control Panel Client folder. I went to Microsoft page to get the Nvidia control panel app but when running the app as admin nothing happened.
I restarted my computer, and when it turned back on, there was still no Nvidia control panel when right clicking on the desktop and when I went back to the device manager, the Quadro was giving me the code 43 error again. (FYI by simply deactivating and then reactivating the device in the device manager the code 43 goes away, but still no access to the control panel).
At this point I am running out of ideas. Would there be any point in reformatting my computer?
Is it possible that this is a hardware issue with the card, and if so are there any cards I could purchase to replace it?
Many thanks in advance.

I have the same exact issue. On the Dell website, the NVIDIA Quadro Driver version 10.18.13.5354, A01 is listed as supported for my PC running on Windows 10 64-bit. I have installed it, yet I get Code 43 from Windows in the Device Manager. Essentially, the graphics card is not identified and, hence, the NVIDIA apps won't work. I guess, this is an issue with Windows 10 not identifying the graphics card for some reason. Nothing seems to work! I desperately need a solution!

Start > Control Panel > Device Manager > Uninstall the NVIDIA Device. Remove any other missing/non-working items Unplug the Unit. Remove the AC adapter. Remove the Battery. Press the POWER on button for 10 seconds. Replace the battery. Replace the AC adapter. Press the power button and Enter the BIOS. Load Optimized Defaults. Save and Exit. Enter the OS. You should still have the Intel and NVIDIA drivers, install them again and see what happen. This looks like a crappy laptop that you have to dismantle to get to the Battery - if so, the above may not work, skip the steps needed to still continue through. If you cannot get this fixed and do open the unit, do add one more step.... ----------- Remove the Battery. Press the power button. continue removing parts to get to the CMOS battery. Remove the C2032 battery and wait 2 minutes. replace the C2032 (with a new one $3) Replace the Battery.

I have a Dell Latitude 5501 laptop with a dedicated NVIDIA MX150 graphics card. I’ve tried all the drivers from the official NVIDIA website and the Dell website, but none have worked. I’ve tried all versions of the drivers, but it still shows error code 43, and the NVIDIA control panel isn’t opening.
