constant background noise

I hear, almost constantly, a low background noise while using my laptop (open box dell precision 7540, i9-9880H, 16 GB RAM, 512 SSD and 1 TB HDD). The noise doesn't sound like a fan noise but more like a hard drive read/write noise. I'm wondering if this is normal or a sign of a trouble?
