Lightweight laptop for CAD drafting - confused between precision 5570 and 5470

I am a CAD designer working for a company in Dubai and my job is to make CAD drawings for our clients who are basically local construction companies here. I often have to travel to their offices and sites so I need a lightweight and powerful laptop. The laptop should be able to run autocad and revit and it should have at least 3-4 hours of battery life so that I can take the laptop to client's office with full charge, present the design to them and comeback without needing to charge in between.

The laptop that I am currently using is dell latitude (I don't know which year model it is). Since this has serviced me quite well for 6 years I am leaning towards getting a Dell again.

My company is paying for this laptop so budget is not an issue but I want to buy just as reliable laptop as my latitude. I recently purchased a PC for my son so I have some idea about the computer hardware so I decided to do my research on the internet for my laptop. I watched a few YouTube videos and came to know about the precision 5570 and 5470 models.

They both are very similar looking laptops and I love their look and power also seems good since they have the new 12th generation processor. But do I need graphics card? My latitude does not have one and it worked fine all these years but it's also feeling slow now so I am not sure.

Can anyone help me decide between these two laptops or perhaps suggest other models from dell that could be great option for me?

The decision between the two comes down to the screen size you want (the 54 model is 14";  the 55 model is 15"), which means deciding the size and weight of system you're willing to carry.

The GPU is up to you, but note that a discrete GPU will appreciably cut battery runtime vs. integrated video (though you can generally select which GPU you want to run at any time).

Don't choose an ultra-high resolution 15" screen if that's the size system you choose;  again, the resolution of the screen will have a big impact on battery runtime.

The 14" systems are limited to 4 cell batteries, with the 15" ones having 6 cells -- longer runtime, even with the larger screen.

Hey thanks for the reply and sorry for me replying this late to it. Actually I did reply a before the weekend last week but today when I came to check the page for further replies, I saw that the message has disappeared for an unknown reason.

So I am leaning towards dell [recision 5570 now because it has a larger battery (thanks for pointing that out to me). Now the problem is I read a lot of reviews of precision 5470 and saw a few youtube videos too of it. One of them is from Linus Tech Tips very popular tech youtube channel.

But there are less to none reviews or videos of 5570 on the internet. I found a website recommending it and they recommend variant with intel i9, 32gb ram, 1tb SSD and a2000 GPU 8gb.

Problem is here in dubai I cannot find the same variant but there is similar variant to it which has i7, 32gb ram, 512gb SSD and a2000 GPU with 8gb graphics.

My question is how much difference going with i7 instead of i9 will make for my workflow which includes using autocad and revit.
