M6300 Poor performance (FX1600)

Question

I Dug out an M6300 from the recycle pile at work and thought I could try and use it for some old applications and Games. I installed Vista Ultimate and ran 3D mark 03 to gauge the performance but was less than impressed with the performance. i am aware of the fact I'm working with a Quadro not a GeForce but the system is performing worse even than what Notebook check got with its benchmarks  Notebook Check (3Dmark 03): 17144 points my test: 2441 it's running Vista SP2  and Nvidia driver 337.88  4GB  T8300 7200RPM 500GB HGST maybe I'm missing somthing

Are you using a benchmark contemporary with the system, or a current one? This system is 16 years old -- any benchmark software designed for a newer system is going to cause one this old to struggle mightily.

I ran the Tests using 3D Mark 2003 I used this benchmark as it was the same one used in the review done on this laptop by Notebook Check
